The dramatic construction of NOSTALGHIA

Nostalghia endeavors to elucidate the mystery of death and may even suggest means of defeating it. Its heroes do not fight for or against society, for the sake of friends or love. The confrontation with death is the most solitary action one may imagine. On life's frontier man is nude. No social attribute defines him. That borderline between death and this world is the one place where life's essence is revealed. Nostalghia is an attempt at conveying that essence to each spectator. How did the makers succeed in this?

Towards a comprehension of the human dimension – a summary notice
Do we always follow a logic prescribed by society? Do our pleasures and desires not result from this social order? By speculating about the antithesis we looked for the part of ourselves which resists the mecanical idea of life. And we found love. Is love a way of escaping the system, a place outside of it, a utopia? Or simply a force which far from being only an integrated component of our lives drives the system.
