Photographs
belong to both the story line and the décor. Above all they form
the settings of the film itself. They create a level of its own conveying
Cora's bipolar attitude to her own body between violence and ecstasy.
Sometimes though the two poles fuse. Past bodies emerge into her present
one. The child she once was and the present young woman transform the
character into what she now is.
As a way of conveying Cora's complex relation to her own body I projected
one or more shots of her body onto her. The pictures are torn from their
local and temporal connection: for instance the silhouette of her torso
without her head appear on a monochrome background.
